Zackary Howard Adkins passed away at the age of 26 on April 4, 2025, in his Belleville home.

He was born on February 8, 1999, in Ann Arbor, Michigan to his loving parents, Melanie Vanclev and Howard Adkins.

Zak loved his job as a butcher and was very good at it. He was also a talented plumber, but his passion was in the butcher shop.

There was a variety of activities Zak enjoyed, from going out shooting a variety of guns that he loved to collect, to building computers. But he was particularly fond of going to the gym with his brother, Cameron.

Zak is survived by his father, Howard Adkins and step-mother Jennifer Eichhorn; siblings Caleb, Cameron, Lily, Anthony, Alec, Abigal and Anton; aunt Kim, his loving cat Rex who he adored, many cousins, aunt and uncles, six nephews and two nieces; grandparents in Michigan and Mommaw in Kentucky.

He was preceded in death by his mother Melanie Vanclev, grandparents Cletus and Joyce; and aunt Kimberly.

A service to celebrate Zak's life will take place 1 pm Thursday, April 10, 2025 at The Faith Community Church (894 E. Huron Dr., Belleville, MI 48111).
