Richardson, Willis "Budge"

Saline, MI

Age 90, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, May 26, 2022 at StoryPoint Saline. He was born November 11, 1931 in Whittaker, MI, the son of Alex and Alberta (Byrd) Richardson.

In 1952, Willis married Joyce E. White, the love of his life, in Ypsilanti. He worked as a hydraulic technician at Ford Motor Company for over ten years and later retired from General Motors as an electrician.

Willis was a longtime Community Church of God member, where he taught Sunday school, Bible Study and served as the Associate Minister. He loved to travel the world as a missionary, especially to India and Africa.

Willis is survived by his sons Gregory, Dwayne, Darryl and Ralph (Mary); brother Walter (Vanessa), loving caregiver and niece Juanita Quann, loving granddaughter Kerry (Omar) Koote, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife Joyce, siblings Zorabell Glenn, Rosie Kennedy, Mary Quann, Alexander Richardson, Donna Scott, George Richardson and Clarence Richardson; and grandson Reese Richardson.

A funeral service will be held 11 am Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at the Community Church of God with Sr. Pastor Portia Davis-Mann and Associate Pastor Bill Kearsy officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 4-8 pm Tuesday, May 31, 2022.
