Willie Lee Wright Jr. was born August 15, 1952 in Fairfield, Alabama. He was the son of Willie Lee Wright Sr. and Mabel Lee (Hill) Wright. At the age of 3, they moved to Flint and later to Ypsilanti, Michigan. He attended the Ypsilanti public school system, where he later received his GED. He was known to all his friends and family as "Frog".

He was baptized at a young age, he knew that his life was blessed and he loved the Lord. He witnesses to the goodness of it often. Just look at his Facebook page it tells the story. He had a passion for working on cars. He was employed with Ford Motor Company, G & D Auto Salvage, and Wal-Mart Auto Center Department. He never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

He lived most of his life in Ypsilanti. When he met Ramona, he became passionate about traveling and visiting different parts of the country. He truly enjoyed it when they traveled with family.

He leaves to cherish his memory, 2 daughters, Teleicia Smith, Keisha Washington, 2 sisters, Brenda (Gary) Griffin-Willams, Linda (Craig) Freeman, 2 brothers, Larry (Marilyn) Crout and Rev. Dr. J Nathaniel (Audrey) Crout. His beloved mate Ramona Stevens and bonus children CJ Stevens, Vanessa Stevens, Marcellus Larkin, Tereasa Lewis, James and Robin Iler. He has 2 aunts and 3 uncles. He has 9 grandchildren,5 great-grandchildren. He has a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Mabel Lee Wright and step-father Nathaniel Crout, 2 brothers Harold Martin, John Lee Crout, and 1 sister Kattie Patterson.
