Hull, William Edwin "Ed"

Jonesville, MI (Formerly Ypsilanti, MI)

Age 98, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2022 at his home. He was born February 10, 1924, the son of Daniel and Ruth (Claycomb) Hull.

Ed was a World War II veteran, serving in Japan and Germany. During his time in the Army, he received the American Theater Ribbon, Pacific Theater Ribbon, EAME Theater Ribbon with 1 Bronze Star, Good Conduct Model and Asiatic Victory Medal World War II. Ed retired from United Airlines as a lead mechanic. He loved to fly his plane and hunt. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and attending services at Forest Avenue Baptist Church in Ypsilanti. He was well-known to be the neighborhood maintenance man.

Ed is survived by his children David Edwin Hull, Kevin Gene Hull and Susan (Tony) Stubbins; 16 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Jeanne (Burkey) Hull, parents, children William Joe Hull and Alan Richard Hull; and four siblings.

Committal prayers and entombment will take place 1 pm Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Washtenong Memorial Park in Ann Arbor, MI.
