Blackburn, Willard "Vernon"

Age 82, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at his home. He was born September 7, 1941 in Stone, KY, the son of Ferd and Eula (Hensley) Blackburn.

Vernon loved bowling and watching horse races. He was a big Chicago Cubs fan.

Vernon is survived by his wife of 33 years, Susan (Masters) Blackburn; children Luther (Wendy) Blackburn, Michael (Cindy) Blackburn and Teresa (Walter) Cole; grandchildren Josie (Clyde), Austin, Bradley, Michael, Chelsea, Gracie, Lauren, Peyton and Megan; great-grandchildren Wesley and Wyatt; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and three brothers.

A funeral service will be held 11 am Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Stark Funeral Professionals with visitation beginning at 10 am. Pastor Joe Blackburn will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 4-8 pm Wednesday, January 17, 2024.
