Wendy Michelle Schneider, age 61, passed away on January 30, 2026, at Michigan Medicine Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI. She was born on July 15, 1964 in Ypsilanti, MI, the daughter of Richard and Martha (Duede) Schneider.

Wendy dedicated 15 years of her life working as a mail carrier until disability forced her into retirement. She was known for her kind heart, deep faith, and the love she gave so freely to those around her.

Her relationship with Jesus was very important to her, and that faith guided her life. Wendy's greatest joy was her family — especially her son, Cory, whom she loved more than anything. She also enjoyed traveling and treasured the time she spent with friends and family.

Wendy is survived by her son, Cory Schneider; her mother, Martha (Duede) Schneider; her brother, Kevin (Maria) Schneider; her sister, Cheryl Culver; her nephews, Jacob Culver and Martin Schneider. She is also survived by her partner, Matt Carlington, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Schneider.

There will be no formal service at this time. Wendy's family will spread her ashes at Sleeping Bear Dunes in the future, as she wished.

Wendy will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
