Age 67, passed away peacefully Monday, June 10, 2024 at St. Joseph Hospital. Walt was born on September 23, 1956 in Ypsilanti, the son of Walter and Connie Root. He was very proud being a machinist and was employed by Ford and Visteon and he also worked for his friends that owned Proto Tool and Gage until retirement. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Deborah along with his sister Lori Tarbell and numerous nieces and nephews. Following his wishes, there will be no funeral and a private burial for immediate family only. The family ask for no flowers. Any donations should be made to American Lung or the Humane Society.
