Age 83, passed away Monday, October 23, 2023 in Ypsilanti, MI. She was born August 24, 1940 in Merigold, MS, the daughter of Willa and Etta Taylor.

A funeral service will be held 11 am Monday, October 30, 2023 at St. Mary's Missionary Baptist Church (561 Second Avenue, Ypsilanti). Elder James Watts will officiate. Family hour to begin at 10 am. The family will receive friends 4-8 pm Sunday, October 29, 2023 at Stark Funeral Professionals (101 S. Washington Street, Ypsilanti). Verlee will be laid to rest in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton Township.
