Todd Charles Rishell, age 69, passed away on March 24, 2026, at Trinity Health Ann Arbor Hospital. He was born on July 5, 1956, in Detroit, Michigan, to Charles and Earlene (Thompson) Rishell.

Todd spent much of his childhood moving from place to place due to his father's work, an experience that helped shape his lifelong curiosity about the world. During those early years, he lived in Geneva, Switzerland for four years and Mexico City, Mexico for one—just the beginning of a life filled with travel and adventure.

Todd went on to build a steady career in the automotive industry, where he worked for 35 years before retiring on July 5, 2020. Outside of work, he was known for his love of travel and exploration. He truly saw the world, visiting every continent and embracing experiences that many only dream of—including spending a night at Mount Everest Base Camp.

Above all, Todd valued the life he built with those closest to him. He shared a loving partnership with his wife, Linda Salajan-Rishell, since 2003. Together, they created a life grounded in companionship, shared experiences, and family.

Todd is survived by his wife, Linda; his stepchildren, Tia (Kelly Enders) Salajan and Craig (Mariah) Salajan; and his granddaughter, Anastasia Salajan. He is also survived by his brothers, Brian (Teri) Rishell and Mark (Di) Rishell; his nieces, Erin (Mark) Miller and Tammy (Greg) Thalleen; his nephews, Tony (Doogie) Rishell and Cody Rishell; his great-nephews, Austin Miller, and Steele Thalleen; his great-nieces, Brogan Miller and Ruby Rishell; granddogs Keiko, Sookie, Archy, Kia, Eve, and Remy; and grandcat Nacho.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Earlene Rishell.

Cremation will take place, and a celebration of Todd's life will be held at a later date.
