Age 84, passed away May 6, 2025 at Legacy Assisted Living Center in Jackson, MI. He was born January 24, 1941 in Belleville, MI, the son of Milton and Evelyn (Power) Newton and grew up in Denton.

Tom spent most of his life in Ypsilanti but had recently moved to Munith to be near his daughter. Tom enjoyed reading, dancing and mushrooming.

Tom is survived by his children Mary (Tim) Amburgey and Tom Newton Jr.; and a few cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his youngest son, Charles Everett Liskow-Newton.

Cremation has taken place and no services are scheduled. The family wishes to thank Father Tyler of St. Mary's Sister of the Sea for performing last rites.
