Kersey, Theron William III

Canton, MI

Age 82, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, June 8, 2024 at his home in Canton, MI. He was born December 22, 1941 in Ann Arbor, MI, the son of Theron W. Kersey Jr. and Lauretta (Curtis) Kersey. He married Doris (Taylor) Kersey August 20, 1966 in Lansing, MI, and she survives.

Theron worked for Ford Motor Company for over 30 years and served as Pastor of Community Church of God in Ypsilanti, MI for 15 years (2006-2021). He began attending Community Church of God at the age of 13. He enjoyed visiting with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as walking and researching family history.

A funeral service will be held 10:30 am Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Community Church of God (565 Jefferson Street, Ypsilanti). Family hour will begin at 10 am. Theron will be laid to rest in Chapel of Memorial Gardens, Belleville.
