We mourn the loss of Teresa Anne Hurst, who passed away at her home on July 15, 2024. She was born on September 16, 1956 in Ypsilanti, to her parents Evaline and Robert Rose. Teresa graduated from Willow Run High School in 1974 and worked at Saint Joseph Mercy Hospital for 30 years. Teresa was a cherished presence that could always bring a smile to your face.

She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her cherished husband of 40 years, Randy Hurst, her two daughters, Candice (Adam) Brown and Alicia (Josh) Webber; four grandchildren, Aiden, Dane, Asher and Brooklyn; two brothers, John (Marsha) Rose and David (Marleene) Rose; and many nieces and nephews.

Teresa's role as a grandmother and mother was filled with unwavering love and dedication. She was a longtime member of The Fraternal Order of Eagles and a member of the Eagle Riders, AKA Hippie. Teresa enjoyed riding the Harley with her husband. She also was an avid gardener and nature enthusiast. Her favorite moments were spent engaging in meaningful conversations around a bonfire, whether that be in her backyard or camping. Teresa was born a caretaker and touched the lives of many with her warmth and generosity, leaving a legacy of love and kindness that will forever be cherished.

The family will receive friends 11 am - 1 pm Sunday, July, 21, 2024 at Stark Funeral Professionals. The funeral service will take place at 1 pm. Brother Walker Harris will officiate. Burial will follow at Washtenong Memorial Park in Ann Arbor. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Great Lakes Weimaraner Rescue in honor of her rescued Weim Otis.
