Ted E. Griffin, 74, of Superior Township, MI, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 1, 2023 surrounded by family. He was born July 3, 1948, in Ypsilanti, MI, the son of Fred and Margery (Williams) Griffin. Ted was married to Linda (Smith) on February 21, 1969.

Ted was a lifetime resident of Ypsilanti, MI. He was a commercial and residential roofer for many years. He also enjoyed his job at Walmart, assembling bikes and outdoor equipment, before retiring in 2010. Ted was an avid collector of insulators and WW2 & military memorabilia. He also loved riding his quad, spending time outdoors and watching wildlife. Ted had a passion for genealogy and was a self-proclaimed history buff.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Linda, sons Shane (Jennifer) Griffin and Steve (Kristy) Griffin; grandchildren, Kayla Griffin and Tyler Moorman; brother Gene Griffin; special nephew Glen Griffin Jr., and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Margery; brothers Glen Griffin Sr. and Earnest Griffin; and daughter Shannon Griffin.

A funeral service will be held 4 pm Sunday, January 8, 2023 at Stark Funeral Professionals with Pastor John White officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 12 pm until time of service.
