Dye, Syble Marie

Ypsilanti, MI

Age 98, passed away Friday, September 15, 2023 at her home. She was born December 7, 1924 in Kennett, MO, the daughter of Edgar and Oma (Birchfield) Samples.

Syble enjoyed gardening. Her flower beds were her pride and joy. Above all, she treasured time spent with her children and grandchildren. Family was very important to her.

Syble is survived by her children Lawanda Jean Bird (the late Charles) and Billy (Sandy) Dye; grandson David Burton Dye, great-grandchildren Joseph Burton Dye and Lindsey Marie Dye; sister Shirley Jean Massey, half-brother Clarence Samples.

She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred Burton Dye, parents, son-in-law Charles Bird, brothers Claudie B. Samples and Odie E. Samples; half-brother Everett Samples, and half-sisters Myrtie Marie Fish and Opal Lee Georgie Volz.

Private services will be held. Syble will be interred in Arborcrest Cemetery, Ann Arbor.
