Susan Jane Oliver, age 64, of Van Buren Township, MI, passed away peacefully at her home on June 9, 2026. Born on July 29, 1961, in Ypsilanti, MI, Susan was the beloved daughter of Ernest and Mickey Terry. She was a proud graduate of Lincoln Consolidated High School class of 1979. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose warmth and love touched the lives of many.

Susan enjoyed traveling and making memories wherever her adventures took her. She was a devoted fan of Kentucky Wildcats basketball and loved watching college football. She adored her beloved cats. Above all, Susan treasured the moments she shared with her family and friends, creating lasting memories that will be fondly remembered.

On November 5, 1982, Susan married Richard Oliver, in Ridgeland, SC. Together they built a life centered on love and family. Richard preceded her in death, as did her parents, Ernest Terry Sr. and Mickey Terry.

Susan leaves behind her loving children, Lisa (Jeremy) Foss, Katie Oliver, and John Oliver (Alejandra Lanza); and her cherished granddaughters, Elizabeth and Ava. She is also survived by her brothers, Ernie (Chris Starkey) Terry, and Wayne (Joyce) Terry; sister, Beth (Brad) Boyle. She is also survived by several nephews and nieces, along with a host of cousins, extended family members and dear friends who will miss her greatly.

Visitation will be held 5-8 pm on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at Stark Funeral Professionals. A funeral service will take place 11 am on Sunday, June 14, 2026 at the funeral home, with Dr. Ernest Terry Jr. officiating. Family and friends may gather beginning at 10 am prior to the service. Susan will be laid to rest at Highland Cemetery in Ypsilanti.
