Evans, Steven Robert

Ann Arbor, MI

Age 60, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2024 in Ann Arbor, MI. He was born September 3, 1963 in Long Beach, CA, the son of Robert and Jean (Bailes) Evans.

Following a family move to Michigan, Steve enrolled in High Point school for special needs people. He then went to the CSTS program to make small assemblies for automotive parts on Airport Drive. CSTS later moved to Ann Arbor and Steve continued to attend for many years. He was a member of the Just Us Club for some 20 years, enjoying music, exercise, art work and many activities. This program was designed for special needs individuals and he remained involved there until health problems prevented him from attending.

Steve loved making trips to Greenfield Village, the Toledo Zoo and Cabela's. He enjoyed visiting parks, shopping and decorating for any and all holidays.

Steve is survived by his sister Lynn Evans. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service will be held 4 pm Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Stark Funeral Professionals. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 4-8 pm Wednesday, March 20, 2024 and 3 pm until time of service on Thursday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society .
