Stella Louise Smith

Age 82, passed away peacefully at her home in Ypsilanti on July 23, 2024. She was born to Rell and Canary Stanley on April 30, 1942 in Pike, Kentucky.

Before medically retiring, Stella worked for Chrysler in the 70's, and belonged to the Willow Run Church of God. Stella enjoyed many things in her life including baking, cooking, listening to gospel and country music, crocheting and watching her westerns starring John Wayne.

Left to cherish her memory are her son Carl Smith of Ypsilanti, grandchildren, Joseph Smith, Joshua Smith, Layla Smith all of Ypsilanti, Justin (Brittany) Smith of Belleville, Shane Smith and her niece, Karly Lovejoy of Ann Arbor; great-grandchildren, Hope, Isabella, Emmett and Jayce; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Sandra, Patricia, and Carrol, husband Lloyd Thomas Smith Sr., son Lloyd Thomas Smith, daughter-in-law Byerc Smith, and infant great-grandson James.

Memorial contributions may  be made to the family to go towards the funeral.
