Stella Endicott, age 98, went home to be with the Lord on February 1, 2026, at her daughter's home in Willis, MI, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on September 12, 1927 in Buffalo, KY, the daughter of Roland M. and Lockie B. (Endicott) Blackburn. She married Otto Endicott in Prestonsburg, KY, on July 12, 1945.

Stella spent most of her life in the Ypsilanti area, where she built a home filled with love, faith, and hard work. She dedicated 36 years of service to Ford Motor Company in Saline, MI, before retiring in 1987. Stella was a devoted member of Trinity Free Will Baptist Church in Ypsilanti, where her faith and church family were a steady and meaningful part of her life. She taught Sunday School there for many years.

Stella found happiness in life's simple pleasures. She loved working in her yard and garden, canning the harvest, sewing, and spending afternoons exploring yard sales. She was rarely still, always creating, tending, or preparing something for someone she loved. Her home was a place of warmth, generosity, and welcome.

She is survived by her children, Haskell (Linda) Endicott of Belleville, Louie (Janet) Endicott of Ypsilanti, Gary Endicott of Ypsilanti, and Kathy (Gary) Dwornik of Willis; her sister, Zella Mae (Sally) Flavell of Westland; her grandchildren, Haskell (Tammy) Endicott Jr., Carolyn Gotte, Jennifer (Lonnie) Ingle, Jason (April) Endicott, Joshua (Angie) Endicott, Jeremy (Tammy) Endicott, Troy (Lydia) Adams, Jonathon (Lindsey) Endicott, Christopher Endicott, and Jacob Dwornik; 18 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren, with twin girls on the way. Her family was her greatest joy, and she took deep pride in each new generation.

Stella was preceded in death by her husband, Otto Endicott; her parents, Roland M. and Lockie B. Blackburn; her brothers, William M. Blackburn, Roland (Sam) Blackburn, Thurman Blackburn; Haze Blackburn, and Roy Blackburn; and her step-grandson, Donald Brown.

Funeral services will be held 12 pm Thursday, February 5, 2026 at Trinity Free Will Baptist Church in Ypsilanti with Pastors Mike Tomblin and Calvin Brown officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 am and last until time of service. Burial will follow at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.

Stella will be remembered for her strong work ethic, steady faith, and the deep love she showed through the care of her family, her home, and her garden. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, resilience, and devotion that will continue to grow for generations.
