Our beloved Sherry Eileen Hunroe, 67, of Newport, MI, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022.

Sherry was born on July 9, 1955, to the late Nelson Waterbury and Ruth Whittman in Ypsilanti, MI. She was the sister to Wayne and Dennis Waterbury. After Sherry attended Ypsilanti High School, she went on to kickstart her career as an assembly line worker in the automotive field at Ford Motor Company.

In high school, Sherry met Gary Jacques. Sherry and Gary went on to have two children, Todd and Jennifer. Sherry had two grandchildren, Alex and Braden.

In 2000, Sherry met Kenneth Hunroe. Sherry and Kenneth were married on June 23, 2001. She gained a step-son, Dominic Hunroe.

After retiring from Ford Motor Company, Sherry enjoyed spending time gardening and vacationing with her husband, Kenneth. She will be remembered for her infectious smile and contagious laugh.

Sherry was preceded in death by her mother and father Nelson and Ruth Waterbury and her son Todd Jacques. She is survived by her husband Kenneth Hunroe, daughter Jennifer (Jacob) Kendzel, step-son Dominic (Amber) Hunroe, grandsons Alex Jacques and Braden Kendzel; and brothers Wayne and Dennis Waterbury.

Viewing will be held at Stark Funeral Professionals on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 from 4-8 pm. Funeral Services will be held at Stark Funeral Professionals on Wednesday, December 28 at 11 am. Burial will be held at Arbor Crest Cemetery in Ann Arbor. Following the burial ceremony, the family will be hosting a celebration of life at Sidetrack's in Ypsilanti.
