Shawn Michael Tenpenny, age 54, passed away on September 3, 2025. He was born on November 7, 1970, the son of Jerry and Patsy (Hudgens) Tenpenny.

A 1989 graduate of Ypsilanti High School, Shawn was a dedicated employee of Sobbry Towing for 30 years. He loved his work, was an avid football fan—especially of the University of Michigan—and cherished time spent with his friends.

Shawn is survived by his mother, Patsy Tenpenny. He was preceded in death by his father and several other beloved family members and friends.

In accordance with his wishes, the family has chosen a simple cremation.
