After a short illness, Sharon Nordhoff passed away March 6, 2024, in Ypsilanti Michigan. She was born November 2,1942 in Lansing, Michigan to Walter and Lucille Goodz. She was the oldest of three children.

She graduated from Saint Mary Cathedral High School in 1960 and was married on June 15, 1965 to Larry Lynn Nordhoff.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1973, and her brother Roddy Goodz in 2019. She is survived by her sister, Susan Yockey and her two children, Timothy and Kristen, and her daughter, Rebecca Brooks (Paul), and two grandchildren, Lawrence and Antonia Brooks.

She worked for the State of Michigan before retiring in the early 2000's.

Having spent most of her life in Michigan, in 2002 she decided to leave the cold and wet behind and move to Arizona. She had lived in Prescott, Oro Valley, then Marana, Arizona for the past 21 years, before returning to Michigan the summer of 2023.

She was a traveler…having been all over the United States and Europe. She had also traveled to China, Australia, and Canada. When not traveling, she enjoyed time with her friends and family, traveling back to Michigan every other year in the summer.

She was a very upbeat person, always trying to look on the bright side of things, and a ray of sunshine to those who knew her. She was kind, and always willing to help a friend or family member in need. She will be remembered for her many acts of kindness, and her loving spirit.

Her memorial service will be held 3 pm Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Stark Funeral Professionals (101 S Washington Street, Ypsilanti). Visitation will begin at 2 pm.
