Segred Elaine Holman was born on October 12th, 1960, to Pastor Alex Kitchen and Nona Pearl Harris Kitchen in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. She went home to be with the Lord February 10th, 2026, after a wonderful life of love and service in both the church and her community.

Segred was a member of the state choir, and devoted "We Care We Share" staff member for over a decade. She loved and was loved with her beautiful spirit and bright smile as she served under her uncle and aunt, Bishop Harry S. Grayson and First Lady Mary Grayson at Messias Temple. In 1982 her family was doubled, when she joined the equally large Holmans when she and Bradford Holman joined together in marriage. The two would continue to be loving and devoted members in the church and that love brought them their daughter, Nikole Holman, in 2001.

Segred was preceded in death by her parents Alex and Nona Kitchen, sister Cheryl Colbert, brother James Kitchen, and her grandparents.

She leaves behind her husband of 43 years, Bradford Steven Holman, daughter Nikole Nona Holman; siblings, Beverly Hill, Gilbert "Danny" Kitchen, Jerome Kitchen, Steven (Kiera) Kitchen , Susan Douglas, Sandra Warren, Mark Kitchen, and a great host of beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and a multitude of friends.

A funeral service will be held 11 am Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Messias Temple Church with family hour beginning at 10 am. The family will receive friends at the church 4-7 pm Friday, February 20, 2026. Segred will be laid to rest in United Memorial Gardens, Superior Township.
