Wallaker, Ruth Marie

Leitchfield, KY (Formerly of Ypsilanti, MI)

Age 93, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2023 in Leitchfield, KY. She was born May 27, 1930 in Ann Arbor, MI, the daughter of Ralph and Kathryn (Lentz) Warner. She moved to Ypsilanti, MI in 1953.

Ruth was a graduate of Ann Arbor Pioneer High School. She worked as a sales associate for Dixie House and Hadley's and as a show-and-tell demonstrator for Meijer. Ruth was a member of Ypsilanti Community First Free Will Baptist Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed crafts, floral arranging, knitting and cake decorating.

Ruth is survived by her children Sally (Danny) Satterfield of Leitchfield, KY and Nancy (Fred) Clore of Crossville, TN; grandchildren Carrie Satterfield (Kevin) of Joelton, TN, Kristy (Scott) Thompson of Leitchfield, KY, Amy Satterfield (Jessie) of Hamilton, New Zealand and Nicole James Emerick (Kevin) of White Lake, MI; great-grandchildren Aspen Thompson, Holder Emerick and Violet Emerick; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard Earl Wallaker, son Richard Allen Wallaker, and siblings Ralph Warner, Virginia Warner, Linda Tindal and Lloyd Warner.

A memorial service will be held 11 am Monday, November 27, 2023 at Stark Funeral Professionals (101 S. Washington Street, Ypsilanti). Visitation will begin at 9 am. Ruth will be interred at Bethlehem Cemetery, Ann Arbor, MI.
