Prater, Rory Owen

Age 45, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2023. He was born February 26, 1978 to Jack Prater and Cherylann Willys.

Rory enjoyed snowboarding, fishing and four wheeling. He loved motorcycles and playing basketball.

Rory is survived by his mother Cherylann Smith, step-father Larry Smith, girlfriend Stacey Strieter and daughter Piper Prater.

He was preceded in death by his father Jack Prater and brother Wyatt Prater.

A funeral service will be held 11 am Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Stark Funeral Professionals with visitation beginning at 10 am. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 5-8 pm Friday, September 15, 2023. Rory will be laid to rest in Highland Cemetery, Ypsilanti.
