Ronald Pfeifer, 72, of Brighton passed away peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, January 20, 2024.

Ron lived life to the fullest and his beautiful life will forever be cherished and remembered in the lives he touched. Ron is survived by his wife, Pam; his children Jeffrey (Marie) of Ann Arbor, Kimberly of Garden City, and Randy of Fowlerville; siblings Erick (Valerie), Linda (Adalberto) and Henry (Cheryl); three granddaughters; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as his best friend and partner in crime Randy Fritz (Christine).

Ronald Patrick Pfeifer was born on March 17, 1951, in Detroit, Michigan. From an early age, Ron took on the role of "protector" for his loved ones and family, something that would continue throughout his life. Ron grew up in Redford, and attended Divine Child High School where he played football and met his lifelong best friend, Randy Fritz, and would go on to graduate from Thurston High School in 1969.

After graduating high school, Ron entered the Detroit Police Department Academy and would go on to serve on the Detroit Police Department for several years before joining the Ypsilanti Police Department in 1974, until his retirement from the force in 1992. Ron then joined Fritz Enterprises, where he served as Executive Director of Safety and Security until retiring in 2019.

Ron was united in holy matrimony with his wife, Pamela Pfeifer (Bowden) on September 27, 1991. They enjoyed traveling particularly to Mexico and the Great Smoky Mountains, spending summers on their deck overlooking School Lake in Brighton. Pamela served as Ron's caretaker for many years in his later life, highlighting their devotion and love for one another, a testament to the vow they both took, "through sickness and in health".

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Marion (Chavez), as well as his bonus parents, Len and Irma Fritz.

Ron was a hero to many and will truly be missed.
