Age 69, went home to be with the Lord Monday, September 2, 2024 at Michigan Medicine Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI. He was born August 31, 1955 in Tazewell, VA, the son of Jack W. and Barbara (Little) Thompson. On January 28, 1995, he married Katie (Senff) Thompson in Plymouth, MI, and she survives.

Roger worked at the PepsiCo plant in Milan, MI for 15 years. He was a talented musician who enjoyed playing the guitar and singing. In his free time, he loved listening to and playing music, mowing the yard and, above all, spending time with his family.

In addition to his loving wife of 29 years, Roger is survived by his daughter Amber (Jeremy) Stetler, grandchildren Cole Stetler and Myah Stetler; son Mark Anthony Walker Jr., sisters Lynn (Derrick) Kirby and Debbie McCune; brothers Bob (Tina) Vick and Bruce Vick; nephew Jeff Kirby, niece Shelly (Steve) Mareno, great-niece Clair Kirby, and great-nephews Kyle Kirby and Matthew Mareno.

He was preceded in death by his father Jack Wayne Thompson, uncle Fred Thompson, and his grandparents.

A funeral service will be held 1 pm Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Faith Community Church of Belleville (894 E. Huron River Drive, Belleville). Viewing will begin at 11 am. Roger will be laid to rest in Christian Memorial Gardens West, Rochester Hills, MI.
