Stevens, Robert Michael

Ypsilanti, MI

Age 72, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2025 at his home. He was born March 12, 1952 in Wyandotte, MI, the son of Otis and Fannie (Graham) Stevens. Robert married Joan Wallace June 6, 2008 in Willis, MI, and she survives.

Robert was the best dad to ever live and was an incredible granddad. He was extremely proud of his family and adored his grandchildren. He loved watching sci-fi movies, fishing, working on computers and tinkering with everything he could get his hands on. Robert enjoyed going up north and being by the water. He was an avid artist who liked taking pictures and birdwatching.

In addition to his wife Joan Stevens, Robert is survived by his daughter Jessica (Jim) McElgunn, stepchildren Jimmy (Charlene) Grant and JoAnn (Khris) Williams; grandchildren Crystal, Ryan, Isabel and Hannah; great-grandchildren Jaycin, Chloey and Eloise; sisters Nancy (Karl) Ziemann and Charlotte (Ralph) Dalton; sister-in-law Lyn Stevens, and many loving nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Linda Trent, son Jacob Stevens, brother Otis Stevens Jr. and sister Rebecca (Jerry) Sims.

A funeral service will be held 5 pm Monday, February 3, 2025 at Stark Funeral Professionals with visitation beginning at 3 pm (101 S. Washington Street, Ypsilanti). Pastor John White will officiate. Cremation to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Robert's name may be made to the charity of your choice.
