Robert Morris Sr. went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at Trinity Health - Ann Arbor Hospital. During that time, he was surrounded by his family who loved him dearly. He was 53 years of age.

Robert, affectionally known as "Pandaddy", was born on January 23, 1972 in Detroit, Michigan to Thomas Sylvester Nelson Jr. and Bernice Morris. Along with his mother Bernice, he was raised by his stepdad, Robert Williams, until he passed when Robert was 12 or 13 years of age. Robert received his education in the Detroit Public Schools and at Eastern Michigan University.

Robert worked for many years as an Assistant Manager at Tubby's Submarine, where he met his beautiful wife of 23 years, Nicole Mary Morris (Philpot). He worked at other places, such as Burger King, Comcast, and Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy.

Robert was well loved by his family and friends. He was a very talkative man who enjoyed a good time with those who were close to him. He loved to cook and read comic books. Also, he loved his cat Tigger very much. Over the years, he had his health challenges but took them in stride, taking it one day at a time.

Robert was also a God-fearing man. In December 2005, he was baptized at New Progressive Missionary Baptist Church in Ann Arbor, MI. He loved the Lord and was not afraid to speak of it, anywhere, anytime.

Robert was preceded in death by his mother, Bernice Morris; his brother, Thomas S. Morris; his stepdad, Robert Williams and his biological father, Thomas S. Nelson Jr.

Robert is survived by his wife, Nicole M. Morris; his children, Maya S. (Anthony) Randall and Robert John Morris Jr.; his sister, Denzil (Ricky) Morris-Corpening; his niece, Shanice Morris; his favorite uncles, Robert Morris in Detroit and Theodore Luckett in Florida; and a host of half-siblings, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A funeral service will be held 2 pm Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at Stark Funeral Professionals with family hour beginning at 1 pm (101 S. Washington Street, Ypsilanti). Rev. Lillie Granderson will officiate. Robert will be laid to rest in Highland Cemetery The family will receive friends at the funeral home 5-8 pm Monday, June 16, 2025.
