Rousseau Sr., Robert Mack

Ypsilanti, MI

Age 78, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at his home. He was born October 20, 1943 in St. Louis, MO, the son of Carl and Hattie (Grugett) Rousseau.

Robert married Frances Bryant October 1, 1966 in Ypsilanti, and she survives. He was a proud Army veteran who enjoyed being outdoors hunting, fishing and gardening. Robert loved watching Westerns and spending time with his grandkids. He was an 11-year member of Ypsilanti Baptist Temple.

In addition to his wife, Robert is survived by his daughter Lisa (Randy) Raine, grandchildren Katelyn (Matthew) Chapman, Danny Kline II and Kayla Kline; great-grandchild Alex Chapman, siblings Pat (Harold) Phillips, Richard (Pam) Rousseau, Jeff (Chevonna) Rousseau and Tommy Rousseau; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; as well as special family Dana (Bob) Davis, Rick (the late Cindy) Case, Lisa (Bob) Greca and Lindsay (James) Bowe.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Robert Rousseau Jr., sister Joyce Lyke and special family Tina Moore.

A funeral service will be held 11 am Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at Ypsilanti Baptist Temple (1325 E. Cross Street) with visitation beginning at 10 am. Pastor James Clay will officiate. The family will receive friends 4-8 pm Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Stark Funeral Professionals (101 S. Washington Street, Ypsilanti). Robert will be laid to rest at Washtenong Memorial Park in Ann Arbor.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Veterans Affairs Hospital .
