Krellwitz, Robert "Bob" Michael

Pinckney, MI

Age 82, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, April 8, 2025. He was born October 29, 1942 in Detroit, MI, the son of Lloyd and Dorothy (Nusser) Krellwitz. He married Karen Norris on May 24, 2008 in Holly, MI, and she survives.

Bob retired as a waste water treatment plant operator in Oakland County after 30 years and went on to become a personal trainer at Vic Tanny/Bally's in Waterford, MI. He was an exercise enthusiast his entire life; everything was exercise for him. He loved weight training, running, swimming, and boxing. He was a boxer in his teen years and a drag racer into his twenties. Bob could often be heard saying, "The old man can do it without breaking a sweat."

He enjoyed good food and was always found with a cup of coffee. He especially enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson with his wife Karen. Bob could regularly be found showing off on the dance floor. He loved Elvis (could sing like him too!) He was a genuinely fun person. Bob found great joy being in nature, whether it was camping in the U.P., simply being in the woods, or walking his dogs and horses. He delighted in spoiling his two mini horses, Candy Cane and Silver Bell (he loved Christmas).

Bob most recently attended Ypsilanti Baptist Temple. He loved to give testimony of the Lord. Over the years, he taught bible study and loved singing in church. He was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association (CMA).

Bob is survived by his wife Karen Norris-Krellwitz, daughter Sheri (Robb) Wickham, step-son Russ (Tanya) Norris, nine-grandchildren; Isaiah (Kristina), Quentin (Rachael), Johnathan (Jana), Matthew, Michael, Kyle (Jaime), Alexis, Seth and Roman; nine great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, special people to him Jerry, Connie, and Peggy; and special neighbors Ashley, Steve, Everly, and Norah.

He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Janet Krellwitz, daughter Deborah, and siblings Thomas, Marguerite "Peggy", Richard "Dick", and Nancy.

A funeral service will be held 1 pm Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Ypsilanti Baptist Temple (1325 E. Cross Street, Ypsilanti). Pastor Jim Clay will officiate. The family will receive friends 11 am until time of service. Bob will be laid to rest in Highland Cemetery, Ypsilanti.
