Age 94, passed away December 12, 2024 at Saline Evangelical Home. He was born October 30, 1930 in Litchfield Township, MI, the son of Carl and Francis (Herring) Fish. He married Patricia Horn October 4, 1968 in Ypsilanti, and she survives.

Robert earned degrees from the DeVry Institute of Technology and University of Michigan. A commissioned officer, he served in the U.S. Army Corps. of Engineers 1951-1952, working as post engineer and post fire marshall. He was later employed as a supervising engineer for special projects in the hydramatic division of the General Motors Willow Run plant.

Robert was a member of the GMC Robotic Council and chairman of the GMC Machine Loading and Assembly User Work Group. He also served as chairman of Chapter 243 of S.M.E. – R.I. and was a member of the R.I. Tech Council. He wrote and presented technical papers Robot V and Robot VI.

For 39 years Robert was a Pastoral Minister, 35 of them ordained. He served as the lead Pastor in both Holly and Grand Haven, Michigan. In Ypsilanti and Brightmoore, Michigan, He provided Pastoral care. Also, for a number of years he worked as secretary for the metro west section of the Michigan Ministry Network.

In addition to his beloved wife Patricia Fish, Robert is survived by his children Karen Kroger, Bruce (Terry) Cooley, Sheryl Mack, Diana (Rick) Knuckles and David (Holly) Fish; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sister Florence Harrington and his dear nephews and their wives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son-in-law Jim Mack, grandson Bryan Crites and granddaughter Michelle Frederick.

A funeral service will be held 1 pm Monday, December 16, 2024 at Freedom Center Church with visitation beginning at 11 am (300 Old Creek Drive, Saline). Pastor Robert Fuller will officiate. Cremation to follow.
