Robert "Bob" Robinson passed away surrounded by family on October 22, 2025 in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Bob was born at his family farm on Straight Creek in Gillmore, Kentucky on February 16, 1935, one of two children of Herbert and Evalee Robinson. Bob's family moved to Ypsilanti during World War II, living in Willow Run Village, but spent most of his childhood summers at his "Old Kentucky Home".

Bob graduated from Ypsilanti High School in 1954 and proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956. Stationed in Europe at the end of the Korean War, he carried with him a deep sense of duty and patriotism that remained with him throughout his life. He was a long-time member of the American Legion.

He returned to Ypsilanti after his time in the Army where he worked as a grocery store manager, then for 30 years as a delivery driver for Coca Cola, where he enjoyed chatting with people along his stops. He married Donna on January 31, 1969, and together they created countless memories with her family in southern Ohio and in Ypsilanti, Michigan where they raised their family. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Donna; his daughter Molly Maciejewski (Jason); stepdaughter Cindy Atherton (Greg); and his stepson Jimmy (Tammy). Bob also leaves behind seven grandchildren - Jason Friel, Christy Friel-Kenyon (Phil), Callie Weber (Nick), Jeremy Bies, Riley Maciejewski, Paxton Maciejewski, and his namesake, Quentin Robert Wade. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Bob loved being outside in his yard taking care of his fruit trees or his garden, fiddling in the pole barn or in more recent months, cruising around the yard on his scooter. He also loved to be on the lake fishing. Throughout his life he enjoyed fishing with family and friends, especially this past summer with Quentin and his former son-in-law and loved one, Wayne Wade. He also found great joy in lending a helping hand—especially when it came to home improvement projects. He was always eager to fix something or offer guidance to others.

Until very recently, Bob was the primary caregiver for Donna, who is living with Alzheimer's, all while facing his own significant health challenges in his final years. Through it all, he never lost his determination or quick wit. He deeply loved his family, and they will miss him dearly.

Bob was a humble, no-frills man. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will hold a small graveside service for family on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at 1 pm at Gerlach Cemetery in Franklin Furnace, Ohio where some of his remains will be inurned. The remainder of his ashes will be scattered by family privately. If you are attending his service in person or in spirit, please feel free to wear something plaid to honor him.
