Age 64, passed away Friday, June 23, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born June 1, 1959 in Ypsilanti, MI, the son of Charles and Vina (Thomas) Cahill.

Robert was the owner-operator of Cahill Trucking. He loved trucking and gravel hauling. Robert enjoyed being outdoors whether it be boating, going for rides on his Harley, fishing or golfing. He was a great bowler. Trips to Florida were always a pleasure. Above all, he treasured time spent with his family.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 20 years Cindy Cahill, children Jill Cahill, Matthew Young and John (Melissa) Cahill; grandchildren Braylen Cahill, Danica Young, Darien Thomason, Braxton Cahill and Clara Cahill; siblings Con (Marti) Lavendar, Charlene (Bob) Mercer and Deborah (Robert) Thompson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandchild Dalaney.

A funeral service will be held 1 pm Friday, June 30, 2023 at Stark Funeral Professionals. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 4-8 pm Wednesday, June 28, 2023 and 3-8 pm Thursday, June 29, 2023. The Rosary will be recited 7 pm Thursday. Robert will be laid to rest in Highland Cemetery, Ypsilanti.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope 4 Cancer in Cancun, Mexico.
