Logan, Ricky "Rick" Allen

Van Buren Township, MI (Formerly of Deerfield, MI)

Age 71, passed away Monday, May 19, 2025 at Trinity Health Hospital – Ann Arbor. He was born March 2, 1954 in Adrian, MI, the son of Buhl and Ruth (Luettke) Logan.

Ricky was a proud graduate of Deerfield High School. He retired from the State of Michigan Department of Health and Human Services in 2012 after a long, successful career. He loved raising his puppy Shih Tzus; his dogs were his children.

Ricky is survived by his husband of ten years and partner of 27 years, George Gedert; his brothers, Jim (Diane) Logan, David (Terry) Logan, and Jerry (Janet) Logan; in addition to many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family has chosen simple cremation. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the cancer charity of one's choice.

Rick will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and co-workers.
