Age 87, passed away October 28, 2024 in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina. He was born November 5, 1936 in Ypsilanti, Michigan, the son of Harold E. and Rachel (Davis) Towler.

Richard proudly served in the U.S. Marines and fought in the Korean War. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 34 years. He was a member of the UAW and the Masons. He enjoyed bowling, golf, horse races, games of chance, and sports.

Richard is survived by sons, Richard (Tonya) Towler, Brian Towler, Don (Char) Adkins and Ron (Donna) Adkins; grandchildren, Jordan (Hannah) Towler, Sarah Towler, and Lauren Towler; great-grandson Oliver and daughter-in-law Michelle Adkins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Tim Adkins and brother Terry Towler.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Highland Cemetery at 10 am.
