Age 54, passed away July 21, 2024 at his home in Belleville, MI. He was born November 6, 1969 in Ypsilanti, MI, the son of Jere and Diane (Leighton) Yoder.

Richard worked on the assembly line at Ford Motor Company and was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles #3996. He loved spending time with family, riding his motorcycle, playing cards and pool, and listening to classic rock music. He adored his dogs Mini-me and Bella. Richard was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

Richard is survived by his parents Jere and Diane Yoder; siblings, Shannon (Lee) Donich, Chris (Kristen) Yoder and Jeremiah (Amanda) Yoder; sons Jere (Kelly) Murphy, Richard (Kristen) Murphy and Zachery Murphy; grandchildren Katelyn, Harrison, Jere and Chandler; nephews Josiah Yoder and Logan Donich; nieces Alexa Yoder, Madison Yoder, Ava Donich and Jada Yoder; in addition to several uncles, aunts and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife Lisa (Switzer) Murphy and grandparents Vernon and Elva Leighton.

The family has chosen simple cremation.
