Keiger, Richard L.

Age 78, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Trinity Ann Arbor Hospital. He was born February 2, 1945 in Martins Ferry, OH, the son of Paul and Gladys (Hendershot) Keiger.

Richard was employed by Ford Motor Company for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed playing golf and doing yardwork. He was a huge fan of the Cleveland Browns and The Ohio State Buckeyes.

Richard is survived by his wife Shelia Keiger, children Ronald Tucker, Robert (Shannon) Tucker, Jay Orosco and Shelly (Jason) Farris; 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, two nephews and one niece.

He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Dorothy Neale Keiger, and brother Paul Elwood Keiger.

A funeral service will be held 12 pm Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Stark Funeral Professionals (101 S. Washington Street, Ypsilanti). The family will receive friends at the funeral home 10 am until time of service. Pastor Larry Wik will officiate. Richard will be entombed at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton Township, MI.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital .
