Age 97, gone to be with the Lord Friday, August 11, 2023 at Ashford Court Senior Living in Westland, MI. Ralph was born July 9,1926 in Lester, WV, the son of Theodric and Ruth (Hughes) Crotty. His parents and brother, Donald Crotty preceded him in death.

On October 29, 1944 he married Geneva (Genny) Kinder and together they shared 75 years together until her passing on June 30, 2020. He graduated from Moody Bible Institute in 1950 and pastored churches in Pontiac, IL, Bunker Hill, IL, Detroit, MI, and Wyoming MI, before ultimately retiring from Forest Avenue Baptist Church Ypsilanti, MI in 1989. Ralph became founder and director of R.E.A.C.H. Ministries Inc. He was a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and a member of Plymouth Baptist Church, Plymouth, MI. For many years he was a staff member of Stark Funeral Service, retiring in 1993.

Survivors include two sons, Garry (Taylor) Crotty of Los Angeles, CA and Toby (Carol) Crotty of Saline, MI; two daughters, Geri (Mikel) Donner of Plano, TX and Melody Rye of Ypsilanti, MI; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held 1 pm Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Stark Funeral Professionals. The family will receive friends 12 pm until time of service. Ralph will be laid to rest in Highland Cemetery, Ypsilanti.

Pastor Crotty's life scripture verse was Psalm 143:8, "Cause me to hear Thy loving kindness in the morning; for in Thee do I trust. Cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto Thee".
