Quedellars Walker, age 97, of Ypsilanti, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023. He was born September 11, 1926, in Prairie, Mississippi, to Julius and Betty Moore Walker. On November 18, 1945, he married Ludie Reese in Prairie, Mississippi, and she preceded him in death in 1997.

Quedellars was a devoted member of Metropolitan Memorial Baptist Church for 40 years. He had a long and fulfilling career, working for the Ford Motor Company from May 1969 to May 1984. Following his time at Ford, he dedicated himself to serving the University of Michigan Hospital as a custodian, where his hard work and dedication left a lasting impact. Additionally, he was an esteemed member of the Horn Masonic Lodge #256.

Quedellars Walker was not only a dedicated worker but also a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He had a passion for baseball and was an avid Detroit Tigers fan, having played the sport in his youth. His enthusiasm for the game was infectious, and he shared many memorable moments watching games with his family.

He is survived by a loving family that includes daughters Annie (Robert) Heard of Prairie, Mississippi, Adella Walker Harden, Idella (Eddie) Phillips; one son Julius Walker, all of Michigan; 18 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ludie Reese; parents, Julius and Betty Moore Walker; son, Starlin McNairy, and daughter Betty Plant. Quedellars' legacy lives on through the generations he leaves behind, with cherished memories that will be treasured for years to come.

A visitation will be held for friends and family from 5 pm to 8 p m on Wednesday, October 4 at Stark Funeral Professionals. The funeral service will be held Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 12 pm at Baptist Grove MB Church, 10024 Baptist Grove Road, Prairie, MS 39756; followed by burial at Baptist Grove Cemetery.
