Phyllis Ilene (Glover) Tweedy of Ypsilanti, MI, age 76, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2023. She was born December 9, 1946 in Ypsilanti, MI, the daughter of George Thomas Glover and Melba Christine (Rogers) Glover.

On September 29, 1972, she married James Leon Tweedy who passed away in 2015. Phyllis retired from the University of Michigan Law School.

Phyllis was an avid movie lover and enjoyed reading, playing euchre, listening to music and the app SnapChat. She had a fondness for her Yorkie Buddy, hummingbirds and lighthouses. She loved having a good time and had a wonderful sense of humor. Above all, Phyllis treasured spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.

Phyllis is survived by children Cynthia Tweedy and Suzanne (David) Kabat; step-children Lisa St. Pierre and Darren (Lori) Tweedy; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, brother Jerry (Karen) Glover, step-son Steven Tweedy and step-son-in-law Brett St. Pierre.

A funeral service will be held 1 pm Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Stark Funeral Professionals. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 11 am until time of service.
