With great sadness we announce the passing of Peter "Pete" Lee Lombardi on February 26, 2024 at the age of 79. The only child of Harry and Aldine Lombardi, Pete is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years Catherine Gibb Lombardi, four loving children Michael (Lori) Lombardi, David (Valerie) Lombardi, Craig Lombardi, Alicia (James) Ciaramitaro, and two stepdaughters Jill (Bob) Kaiponen and Nancy (Gary) Mason. A devoted grandfather and great-grandfather, he enjoyed spending time with his six grandchildren Jillian, Mitchell, Kassie, Garrett, Nicole, and Tony, as well as his five great-grandchildren.

Pete was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1944 and moved to Ypsilanti in 1957. He would join the Navy when he was 17 years old setting out on his dream to work with planes. Eventually he would make his way back to Ypsilanti where he would settle down and start working for General Motors Powertrain as a hi-lo driver. He retired from GM in 2001 to focus on the easy life and spend time with family and traveling. Pete's memory will live on through the love he shared with family and friends.

The family has chosen simple cremation.
