Moore, Paul Ray Sr.

Ypsilanti, MI

Age 90, passed away Monday, July 25, 2022 at his home. He was born June 22, 1932 in Meadows, NC, the son of Lemmie and Ella (Searcy) Moore.

Paul loved driving and working on antique automotives. He enjoyed reading, traveling and listening to music, especially jazz. He was an avid baseball watcher.

Paul is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Bertha Moore; children Shirley (Robert) Arbenowske, Donald Moore, Marvin Moore, Roger Moore, Douglas Moore and Paul Ray Moore Jr.; grandchildren Sean Moore, Samual Moore, Donald "Don-Don" Moore, Marvin "Mar-Mar" Moore, Robin (Billy) Billups, Raven (William) Jackson, Alisha Moore, Paul Ray Moore III and Marianne Moore, Bernard Moore Jr., Ashley Moore, Destiny Moore, Frank Ogden and Joey Ogden; 22 great-grandchildren with another one on the way; special niece Beverly (Rufus) Edwards; special great-nephew Marlon Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Bernard Moore and special great-nephew Kevin Searcy.

A funeral service will be held 1 pm Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Stark Funeral Professionals with visitation beginning at 11 am (101 S. Washington Street, Ypsilanti). Paul will be laid to rest at Highland Cemetery in Ypsilanti.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association . Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
