Patrick Richard Hopkins, age 38, of Ypsilanti, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on September 10, 2026. He was born on February 6, 1988 to Judy and Gerald Hopkins.

A life cut far too short, but a life filled with love, music, memories, and moments that will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

Patrick and his mom shared a bond that was truly special. His mom was his world, and some of his happiest memories were made traveling and experiencing life by her side. Their adventures together created countless memories that Judy will carry with her forever.

Music was one of the deepest parts of who he was. Music was more than a passion for Patrick; it gave him purpose. Whether listening, creating, or simply enjoying music together, those moments became memories that his family will forever hold close to their hearts. Music gave Patrick a way to express what was inside him, find peace, and connect with those around him.

Above all, Patrick cherished his family. His greatest loves were his great-nieces and great-nephews, whom he adored beyond words. Their smiles, laughter, and time together meant the world to him. The music, laughter, travels, and simple moments shared with his family are now precious memories that will keep a piece of Patrick close forever.

He is survived by his loving mother, Judy Hopkins; and his siblings, Kimberly (Jeff) Dishong, Michael (Angie) Boyd, and Angela Hopkins. He also leaves behind seven nieces and nephews and 15 great-nieces and great-nephews, who held a very special place in his heart. Patrick was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Hopkins.

A funeral service will be held at 1 pm Saturday, September 19, 2026 at Stark Funeral Professionals with visitation to begin at 12 pm. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 3-8 pm Friday, September 18, 2026.
