Age 87, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family October 1, 2024. She was born January 27, 1937 in Ypsilanti, MI, the daughter of Richard and Lenore (Grigson) Hurdley. Patricia married Robert Segal April 10, 1957 in Angola, IN, and together they shared 42 loving years until his passing November 16, 1999.

Patricia attended Ypsilanti High School and later graduated from St. Thomas High School. She spent a large portion of her life as a homemaker, caring for her six children. She would later work with children at Adam's Elementary School for 22 years.

Patricia was a parishioner of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. In her free time, she enjoyed playing bingo, taking trips to the casino and camping. She truly loved all of her kids, grandkids and pets.

Patricia is survived by her children Catherine Britt (Fred Lewis), John Segal, Laura Swope, Karen (Ronnie) Mitchell, Susan Frye and Michael (Christine) Segal; grandchildren Shane Britt, Ronnie Swope, Angela Rhodes, Matthew Duarte, Brittany Tomlin, Jessica O'Bryan, Brooke Segal, Michael Segal and Marcus Goodine; as well as 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and brother Richard Hurdley.

A funeral service will be held 1 pm Saturday, October 5, 2024 at Stark Funeral Professionals (101 S. Washington Street, Ypsilanti). Viewing will begin at 12 pm. Patricia will be laid to rest in Highland Cemetery, Ypsilanti.
