Patricia Anne (McMullen) Briggs went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, just shy of her 85th birthday.

Patricia was born February 22, 1939 in Toledo, Ohio to her parents, George and Undine McMullen. She grew up with her two brothers, Bud and Richard in Northwest Ohio and Southeastern Michigan. She attended Airport and Milan schools, graduating from Milan High School in 1957. Throughout the years, she has enjoyed class reunions and connecting with classmates.  After graduation, Patricia went on to work at the University of Michigan, Michigan Municipal League and eventually the US Postal Service. She was the secretary for the Postmaster at the Ann Arbor Post Office. She devoted 25 years to her career before retiring in 1993.

Besides wonderful friends and great memories, her career with the US Postal Service brought her the love of her life, Daniel Lee Briggs. Dan and Pat were married on September 9, 1977 in Ann Arbor and spent 46 years and five months together.

Patricia would be described as a kind, loving woman of deep faith in God. She loved God, her family, her country, children and animals. Patricia would talk to anyone and made quick friends just about everywhere she went. She was a long time member of the Church of Nazarene where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. Patricia and Dan also were a part of other faith families in the Ann Arbor area throughout the years and shared their love and service wherever they went.

Being a talented crafter, Patricia created many beautiful items for her home, and her family and friends. She loved to sew and quilt, paint, needle point and her specialty, cross stitch.

Genealogy was also a hobby of hers. She found it fascinating to learn her family's lineage and excitedly shared her findings with the rest of the family.

Throughout their lives, Patricia and Daniel created adventure wherever they went, often finding joy and humor in things that many take for granted. An example of this was calling the phone number posted on the back of a semi-truck to report how the driver was driving. Pat called the number to report that "the driver was doing a great job and driving very safe"! They built so many fond memories experiencing new places, and Key West was a favorite that they have many fond memories of there enjoying the sights and excitement.

A 1pm funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at Stark Funeral Professionals.

Visitation and gathering prior to the service will begin at 11am.

Interment to follow at Highland Cemetery.
