Odia Robbins Hyden of Ypsilanti, MI, age 90, went home to be with the Lord Friday, February 21, 2025. She passed away at West Hickory Haven Nursing Home in Milford, MI.

Odia was born May 26, 1934 in Harlan, KY to Jim Forester and Betty King Doan. On December 16, 1954, she married Jimmy D. Robbins. Odia worked for Norris Industries for 9 1/2 years until the plant closed then later she was employed at Quality Container Plastic Factory for 18 years until her retirement in 2001.

Odia was well liked by many people and wasn't afraid to talk with any strangers about the Lord. She liked to spend time working in her flower garden and for past time she would crochet and made several afghans. Odia attended First Free Will Baptist Church up until she went into the nursing home.

Odia is survived by her loving daughter Loretta J. and soni-n-law Ronald Watters. She also leaves behind several Special nieces and nephews as well as several Special friends.

Odia was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy D. Robbins and her two sons Michael L. and James E. Robbins as well as her parents and her siblings Marie Grubbs, Shirl (Faye) Forester and Lola (George) Claxton.

A funeral service will be held 11 am Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Stark Funeral Professionals (101 S. Washington St. Ypsilanti) visitation begins at 10 am until time of the service. Officiating the service will be Rev. Walker Harris. Odia will be laid to rest at Highland Cemetery in Ypsilanti, MI.

Memorial contributions to the Family and any help would be appreciated. The family doesn't want a lot of flowers.
