Nathaniel "Nate" Martin Patrick, 34, of Powell passed away April 25, 2025 in Knoxville, Tennessee. Nate was born to parents Robert Patrick and Stacie Waters (neé Fallon) on May 6, 1990 in Ypsilanti, Michigan. He is the eldest brother of Quentin Patrick, Kathryn Patrick, Aidan Patrick, and Noah Waters.

Nate was a man who deeply desired to feel joy and share it with others, though Nate's life was marked by deep suffering due to a prolonged battle with mental health. He is known by his loved ones for going to extensive lengths to make others laugh, especially the children in his life. Nate was never afraid to burst into song, dance in public, or make the silliest faces, just to bring a smile to the people who loved him. A lover of the outdoors, he was a skilled fisherman and spent some of his happiest moments in the woods and by the water. He had a passion for the thrills of this life. He liked to go as fast as possible, absolutely loved to skateboard, adored any sort of power sports, and would be the first to volunteer to 'do a back flip.' He would never pass up the opportunity to play a round or two of euchre. Nate was the biggest kid in the room at all times and loved being together with his friends and family. He was blessed with two incredible children, Zayne and Eliza, who were his world. Fatherhood was a gift to Nate that he wholeheartedly cherished. Everyone who met Nate was dazzled by his crystal blue eyes, handsome smile, and charming personality. People loved him, and he made friends everywhere he went. He will be profoundly missed by his loved ones.

He is survived by his grandparents, parents, stepfather Tim Waters, his siblings, his partner Amanda Mercer, and his children Zayne Mercer and Eliza Patrick, whom he deeply treasured.

Nate is preceded in death by his many beloved great grandparents who adored him.

A funeral service will be held 1 pm Monday, May 5, 2025 at Stark Funeral Professionals with visitation beginning at 11 am. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 2-7 pm Sunday, May 4, 2025.
