October 29, 1952 - January 27, 2024

Earl Michael Matthews II, age 71, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2024 in Ann Arbor, MI. Mike was a life-long resident of Ypsilanti and retired from a nearly 50-year career at the Environmental Protection Agency in 2022. Mike was a music lover and had a wonderful sense of humor.

Mike is preceded in death by his parents Earl and Rosella Matthews, his wife Sandra Kay Matthews, his mother-in-law Virginia Davis Brown, his father-in-law Newton Davis, his step-father-in-law Chuck Brown, his brother-in-law Daniel Davis and his grand niece Mallory Davis. He is survived by his son Robin Matthews (Patty Bradley), his partner Dawn Marie Taucher, his sister-in-law Theresa Davis, his niece Elizabeth Isaacson, his niece Jessica Davis, his nephew Daniel Davis (Laura) and his grand-nephew Zachary Davis.
