Michelle Lynn Frederick, age 45, stepped into Heaven on March 27, 2022. She passed away at home with her husband and loved ones by her side. She was born November 4, 1976, in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Michelle accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at an early age, and remained steadfast in her faith throughout her life.

She graduated from Milan High School in 1995 and received her Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources from Eastern Michigan University in 1999. After graduating she took a position at Meritor Automotive in Brighton, Michigan, where she met the man that would become her husband, Jay Frederick. They were married on August 18, 2001, in Dexter, Michigan.

After the arrival of her first child, Jacob, Michelle followed her heart to become a stay-at-home mom and homemaker. She loved raising her two children, Jacob and McKenzie. Her greatest joy was spending time with family including homeschooling, traveling, and holiday get-togethers. She strived to be the hands and feet of Jesus whenever she saw a need, always volunteering her time to help others. She was devoted to her Grandma Bellers, visiting her every week for many years. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her, but we know she is resting in the arms of Jesus.

Michelle is survived by her husband Jay Frederick, children Jacob Frederick and McKenzie Frederick; parents Connie (David) Stout and Bruce (Terry) Cooley; grandparents Constance Bellers and Patricia (Robert) Fish; siblings Michael (Melissa) Cooley, Tisha (Chris) Essex and Zachary Stout; step-brothers Billy Crites and Brady Crites; nieces and nephews Alyssa Cooley, Kaylynn Cooley, Logan Essex, Oliver Essex, and Penelope Essex; and many other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather James Bellers, aunt Anita Bellers, uncles James Bellers, Jr. and Dale Bellers; and step-brother Bryan Crites.

A funeral service will be held 11 am Friday, April 1, 2022 at The Carpenter's House (2810 Packard Street, Ypsilanti) with Pastor Chuck Kincaid officiating. The family will receive friends 10 am until time of service. Visitation will be held 4-9 pm Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Stark Funeral Professionals (101 S. Washington Street, Ypsilanti).  Michelle will be laid to rest at Highland Cemetery in Ypsilanti.
