Michele Lynn Dempsey, 54, went home to be with the Lord May 7, 2026, in Ypsilanti, MI. She was born October 2, 1971, in Livonia, MI, to Philip and Sandra (Jergens) Grzybowski.

Michele dedicated 32 years of service to Trinity Health, Ann Arbor; 26 years of which as an Oncology/Radiation Oncology Nurse. While working at Trinity Health she met the love of her life, David Dempsey. On November 2, 2002, they united in Holy Matrimony at St. Dunstan Catholic Church in Garden City, MI.

Michele enjoyed worship at River of Life Assembly of God in Belleville, MI. She was also a member at Fieldstone Church in Milan, MI, and Ypsilanti Assembly of God in Ypsilanti, MI. In her free time, she loved to travel and spend time with her family. She was passionate about helping others and had a very big heart. She enjoyed watching the various NCIS and Star Trek franchises. Additionally, she also enjoyed researching her family's ancestry and locating extended family.

She is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, David; son, Elijah Bouldin; mother, Sandra Jergens; father, Philip (Cathy) Grzybowski; sister, Lisa Grzybowski; niece, Liliana Redman; aunts, Diane Janes and Philomena Teeley; uncle, Gary (Sherrie) Jergens; cousin, Sally (Jeff) Waller; many more cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Felix and Mary Ann Grzybowski; maternal grandparents, Ben and Honore Jergens; maternal aunt, Terry Jergens; and maternal uncle, Larry Janes.

A memorial service will be held 11 am Thursday, May 14, 2026, at River of Life Assembly of God Church (16650 Sumpter Road, Belleville) officiated by Pastor Eddie Marcum. The family will receive friends 4-8 pm Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Stark Funeral Professionals in Ypsilanti.
